McCain's cred

John McCain gets a lot of passes in the media for "slip-ups" because he is taken to have a great depth and breadth of knowledge. Kevin Drum, of The Washington Monthly, asks the right question: "where does all this cred come from? And what window do Democrats go to to get the same treatment the press gives McCain?"

Have a Pink Floyd Easter

On the way to work this morning I heard the coolest Good Friday/Easter story EVA. I don't know if you guys ever listen to the Glen Beck Program but that is where I heard it. House rejects telecom immunity!

The House of Representatives just passed a FISA measure that does not include immunity for telecommunications companies involved in warrantless surveillance. It does allow these companies to produce, in court, documents which would allow for a legal determination of the legitimacy of the claims filed against them.
