I've Been to the Mountaintop
On April 3rd, 1968, Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his "Mountaintop" speech (Audio at American Rhetoric) to a crowd in Memphis, Tennessee. At the climax, he addressed concerns about his possible assassination. The next day, he was killed while standing on a balcony at the Lorraine Motel.
That evening, in Indianapolis, Robert Kennedy gave a speech informing attendees at a political rally of the event. While other American cities were engulfed with violence following the assassination, Indianapolis remained calm, a fact often credited to Kennedy's eloquent and sensitive remarks.

Further engorging my Radiohead boner...
This year's North American tour seemed, in my mind, sure to be the end of the greatest band since the Floyd. Not sure why I thought that, but I did. Actually, I do know why, but it doesn't matter; this article is just the kinda news I needed.

A History Of LSD
An interesting comic, well done, but for me it seems to be lacking something?

About May
I managed to switch my moonlighting shift in May, so I'll be home on the 17th. Are we still doing the camping thing? I'm game for whatever; I just need to know what to bring home with me.
Oh, and Jon - glad to hear you're moving back.

An interesting train wreck...
So here's a studio demo version of the song played over live video of the most recent tour... Who is it? Just watch it and you'll know.
All I'm sayin' is, holy shit, as if it wasn't disjointed enough already, what the fuck happened @3:22?

Free Dr. Pepper for every American
The catch: supreme diva Axl Rose must release Chinese Democracy in 2008. Not eligible: Slash, Buckethead.

And lets not forget......
the fire extiguisher Garcia discharged in his dorm room hours AFTER receiving the alcohol citation.
From EDSBS.com:
Stephen Garcia sits in his dorm, alone except for the tiny, floating Matthew McConaughey on his shoulder.SG: I’m ****ing bored man.
Tiny, Floating Matthew McConaughey: Brah, stop the bitchin’ and get to itchin’. If it’s too quiet in the church, who’s gonna make some noise if you don’t ring some bells, man?
SG: I’m gonna set off the fire extinguisher. I’ve been wanting to do that for weeks.
TFMM: RIGHT ON. Take your shirt off and make it happen. You’re like a primitive warrior ready to fight in mud with a loincloth naked, and the fire extinguisher….it’s like some ancient sabretooth you’ve got to own. Just like I punched those dragons in Reign of Fire.
SG: ****in’ right. Sometimes I can hear it taunting me.
TFMM: It IS taunting you. Can’t you hear it now? I can because I’m Toll Housed.
SG: Ring ring, you little red bitch.
TFMM: You’re a dolphin in a sea of purple freedom, baby YEAH.
