Obama/Clinton vs McCain?

People still think this is the best option.

I think Clinton's supporters are gonna make a push for that: take Clinton as veep or we will sabotage the general election (by setting up 527s and voting Republican, for example).

I think that Obama should call their bluff on this one. Very few Clinton supporters will make good on their threats to vote for McCain, I imagine. This would be the only reason to have her on board, and I just don't believe that a significant number of Clinton supporters will hold their noses and vote Republican.

What else could Clinton bring to the ticket? Her experience as a political leader is hardly better than Obama's. She would bring along her husband and other Clinton loyalists, but I would have to think that, if asked for assistance, these folks would give it whether or not Hillary was on the ticket. I doubt that giving her the VP slot would really help Obama's fundraising, either.

Think about it like this: if you were Obama, would you want HRC as your VP? Could you really trust that she would accept you as the President, and get in line in the number two slot?

Fuck it. Get Richardson or Biden or Webb instead. All have some serious credentials and are unlikely to throw Obama under the bus to score political points, or out of pure meanness.

It's going to be interesting. I wonder when he will announce his choice.
