Neocortical simulation

Pretty fuckin' cool - if they have accomplished what they say they have, that's a huge step. Problem is, you only need about 10^5 more of those to even simplistically model a human brain. Then there is the massive connections from right to left, front to back, and let's not forget the cerebellar influence which has a totally different columnar structure (paleocortex - can't beat the classics). Then they have to incorporate all the peripheral connections to and fro. Still, pretty fucking amazing. Will be interesting to follow.
